1794 Liberty Cap Large Cent (1c) S-54 Closed Wreath Slanting 7

PCGS VF25 BN

The 1794 Large Cent represents one of America's earliest copper coins, produced during the second year of U.S. Mint operations. From a modest total mintage of only 918,521 pieces across all varieties, very few survive in collectible grades.

This VF25 example displays smooth, chocolate-brown surfaces with remarkably even wear. The design elements remain bold, with clear hair detail and wreath definition. The coin's surfaces show minimal marks or blemishes for the grade, and the overall eye appeal is excellent for an early copper that saw honest circulation. A highly desirable example of this important early American copper issue priced aggressively below even Greysheet wholesale (which currently sits at $4500). We got a good deal on the coin and we're passing it along.
