1879-CC Morgan Dollar ($1)
PCGS MS65
The 1879-CC Morgan Dollar represents one of the key dates from the Carson City mint, with a relatively modest mintage of just 756,000 pieces. The CC mint produced far fewer Morgan dollars compared to its Philadelphia and San Francisco counterparts, making Carson City issues particularly desirable among Morgan specialists.
This MS65 example certified by PCGS is a standout gem. The surfaces show exceptional preservation with minimal contact marks and strong cartwheel luster that dances across both sides. The strike is bold and complete, especially evident in the eagle's breast feathers and wing details. A light silver-white patina on the obverse and deeper rich blue toning on the reverse adds to the outstanding eye appeal, unmarred by any significant imperfections.
