1897-S Barber Quarter (25c)

PCGS VF30 CAC

The 1897-S Barber Quarter is a notable issue with a mintage of just 542,229. San Francisco Mint struck fewer of these compared to other years, making it a sought-after piece in the series.

This coin, graded VF30 by PCGS with an exceedingly rare CAC sticker, retains strong detail across the devices. The surfaces exhibit a uniform, light-gray patina, adding to its appealing presentation. Both obverse and reverse are free from significant marks, offering pleasing eye appeal for the grade.

This coin is also an example of where Greysheet gets it wrong. A VF35 CAC example sold for over $2000 recently (despite a CPG value of )-- these coins are exceedingly difficult in lower grades w/ CAC stickers, and this singular example of a VF30 CAC is no different. Grab it while you can!
