1909-O Barber Quarter (25c)
PCGS
F12
CAC
The 1909-O Barber Quarter represents a significant branch mint issue from the New Orleans Mint, which would cease operations that year. With a modest mintage of just 712,000 pieces, the 1909-O stands as one of the scarcer issues in the later Barber quarter series, particularly in problem-free circulated grades like this CAC-approved example.
This F12 specimen displays even, medium-gray toning across both sides with honest wear consistent with its grade. The surfaces are remarkably smooth for a coin that saw extended circulation, showing no distracting marks or issues. All major design elements remain clear, including the important "O" mintmark, and the eye appeal is excellent for the grade.
