The 1914-D Lincoln Cent stands as one of the key dates in the series, with a mintage of just 1,193,000 pieces. While not the lowest mintage of the series, this date is particularly elusive in all grades, as most examples saw heavy circulation in the Denver area before their numismatic significance was recognized.

This VF25 example displays even, chocolate-brown color and smooth surfaces that are remarkably clean for the grade. The reverse shows clear wheat ears and bold lettering, while the obverse retains good definition in the important areas. The eye appeal is strong for a circulated example, with no distracting marks or problems that often plague these early Denver cents.
