1922 No D Lincoln Cent (1c) Strong Reverse
PCGS
VF25 BN
CAC
The 1922 "No D" Lincoln Cent is one of the most famous mint errors in U.S. numismatic history. During production at the Denver mint, excessive die polishing removed the mint mark and much of the design detail, creating this distinctive variety. Only a small number of these error coins escaped into circulation, making them highly sought-after rarities.
This CAC-approved VF25 example displays even chocolate-brown color and smooth, problem-free surfaces. The Strong Reverse designation indicates excellent detail retention on the reverse, contrasting nicely with the characteristic weak obverse that defines this variety. The eye appeal is exceptional for the grade, with no distracting marks or issues.
