The 1927 Peace Dollar represents a fascinating period in American numismatic history. While not particularly rare with a mintage of 848,000 pieces, finding choice uncirculated examples can be challenging, as many were stored in bags that resulted in contact marks and abrasions, and many are just plain ugly.
