1929-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar (50c)
PCGS
MS63
CAC
The 1929-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar was produced during the final months of the Roaring Twenties, just before the stock market crash that would plunge America into the Great Depression. With a mintage of 1,902,000 pieces, it's considerably scarcer than many other dates in the series, especially in higher mint state grades.
This CAC-approved MS63 example displays impressive eye appeal with satiny, lustrous surfaces that show gentle, even toning. The strike is well-executed with good definition on Liberty's hand and the eagle's feathers - areas that often come weak on this issue. The fields exhibit minimal marks for the grade, with most being small and inconsequential. The natural silver patina gives the coin an authentic appearance that CAC clearly appreciated when applying their coveted green sticker.
