1932 Indian Gold Eagle ($10)
PCGS MS67
The 1932 Indian Head Eagle represents one of the final issues of this classic gold series, struck just before President Roosevelt's gold recall order effectively ended gold coinage in America. With the Great Depression in full swing, most 1932 gold coins were either melted down or exported, making survivors increasingly scarce in today's market.
This superb MS67 example certified by PCGS is truly exceptional. The coin radiates with rich, satiny luster and displays a gorgeous honey-gold color that cascades across pristine surfaces. Both the obverse and reverse are virtually free of contact marks, with sharp, complete details on the headdress feathers and eagle's wings. The eye appeal is extraordinary - this is exactly what a properly preserved, high-grade gold coin should look like, with original surfaces and no evidence of cleaning or enhancement.
