1923 $1 Silver Certificate
Choice AU
This 1923 $1 Silver Certificate, Fr. 238, represents the final year of large-size Silver Certificate production. These notes were backed by silver dollars held in the Treasury, a practice that continued until the 1960s. The 1923 series is particularly desirable as the last of the large-size dollar Silver Certificates.
This note appears to be in Uncirculated condition, with bright, clean surfaces and excellent centering. The blue Treasury seal and serial numbers remain vibrant against the crisp black and white design elements. The paper retains its original crispness and snap. The reverse shows a strong green print with clear design details and pristine surfaces. The overall eye appeal is exceptional, making this an outstanding example of this historic series.
